Our Mission

Mission Statement

The mission of In Jacob’s Shoes® is to provide new and gently used shoes, socks, backpacks, school supplies, and athletic gear to children in need living in South Florida.

The Jacob S. Zweig Foundation, Inc. d/b/a In Jacob’s Shoes® was formed in honor of the life of Jacob Samuel Zweig who was tragically killed at the age of seventeen on November 15, 2008. In his short life, Jacob touched and inspired so many people. His friendships spanned the globe.

In Jacob’s Shoes® honors the love and encouragement Jacob gave to all who knew him.  We will strive to continue Jacob’s way of making a difference in the lives of others.  Jacob’s smile, charisma, laughter, hugs and huge heart will never be forgotten.  Jacob’s innate and selfless gift of helping and giving to others will live on In Jacob’s Shoes®.

For all who love Jacob, we will continue to live by his mantra:

“Ask not for lesser burdens, but for broader shoulders.”

Thank you for your love and support.
